I have had two pay monthly mobile numbers with Vodafone for 15 years.
Today I called customer services to enquire about adding a THIRD pay monthly number onto my account . The person offered me a 15% discount and suggested that this was the maximum anyone can offer on a new number?
Should I start and look around at SkY?

They don’t have to offer anything at the end of the day.
Snap up the 15%.
You can start a new contract with an alternative Network but do check via a Payg SIM card what signal and data speeds are where you live, work and commute.
Don’t go by online checkers.
You could try an independent such as Carphone Warehouse !

You have several options depending on what your current cotract situation is.
1. If you are close to end of contract on other lines, then call Retention and negoatiate a contract for 3 lines.
2. If not and you need the 3rd line now, then suggest you get one on a 30 day SIM only plan, and next month call retention to negotiate a deal for it.

I have just been offered a cracking deal with 30gb of data at Three, Vodafone obviously not interested in new business never mind keeping their old customers.

I would follow the advice of Band of Brothers, call up from your existing line and speak to a retentions team. They're more than likely the ones who can offer better deals.
But if you've found a deal at Three you like the look of then you may already be sorted.
Good luck.

By using a Payg SIM.card does the 3 network give good signal and data speeds where you live work and commute ?
