Hello,
I recently bought one of your older 1gb / £15 non expiry sim from a certain well known auction site. Unfortunately the seller only provided the Sim in a plain envelope with no packing or instructions, and no top up card or information. I'm currently using the Sim at the moment, but will be due a top up before the end of the month, which i'd like to do online.
Unfortunately, registering to your site requires the Mobile Number of the sim, which remains a mystery!. I've tried to access this via Mobile Connect, but just get a red bold message telling me that some sims don't display the number using this function....mine obviously being one of them.
I then tried to send my mobile phone a text message using the Vodafone SMS icon, again this failed, when computer said no, and the system told me to sod off.
So far i've drawn a blank. Come on!, share the secret, how do you get your own number off these sims? in order to register to the site?. I've even tried an older version of Mobile Connect, but this gives the same error.
Although it is refreshing to see a company who makes it really hard to spend money with them!, a weaker more impatient man may well have gone off and bought some beer tokens with his £15 top up by now

Hi oakley and welcome to the eForum, 
Well this must seem frustrating indeed and there is a little secret (well not really, but anyway....)
Simply insert your sim (from the usb modem) into a Vodafone mobile phone and dial *#100# to retrieve its number, alternatively if all else fails let us know and we can extract it from the sim number.
