My 3G dongle (a K3770) only works when I have Symantec Endpoint Protection disabled. If SEP is enabled, my Vodafone 3G service connects OK and I get an IP address and address for a gateway, but I am unable to access any sites via a browser, I can't access my company VPN, and I am unable to get a response if I ping any servers/sites.
I've tried reinstalling everything, removing other software and using the Google DNS servers - all to no avail. The Symantec firewall is configured to allow incoming and outgoing traffic from Vodafone Mobile Connect (the latest version - 10.3.401.43721).
Please do you have any suggestion on anything else I could try ? Does any clever person out there have a special firewall rule I can put in SEP to make my 3G work ?
Thanks for any help you can offer.

Hi,
There are some known issues with Symatec Endpoint Protection and 3G dongles.
Have a read of this post, as resolution of this issue has been confirmed within (it's almost identical to the issue you've mentioned in your post).
Let us know how you get on.
Cheers,
HC
