This is for the business tech support. Their considerable knowlefge helped solve a bizarre problem. My SS was dropping the VF server regularly at 0800 hrs at i was convinced the guilty party was VF. It wasn't.
I have a complex network here with several SS and Voip and a nest of dumb switches working to a bridged cable modem. The problem could have been anywhere with most devices on DHCP except Voip and IPCam. Then the tech support discussed 'tunneling'.
It turned out that my Voip was failing to tunnel correctly and locking out one of the SS from picking a DHCP correctly ( it was probably trying to grab an IP that was already fixed. ) I followed ' instructions ' and reset the Voip tunnel, which defaulted to 0800 hrs to try and tunnel.. Everything has worked well since.
Well done VF tech, and for others out there : remember your ' tunnels '!!
