Hi,

My S6 seems to have a problem in that the back key is working without being pressed. I can't open any apps or messages etc without it light up the back key and going back to the home page.

When not in use the phone keeps lighting up as the back key thinks it's being pressed. Its like it has been possessed.

Can anyone help?

Hello,

On performing a Google Search it seems some others have experienced the issues you raise. Some of the tips include a reset.

If a soft reset by turning the phone Off and On does not help and the settings in the phone look ok then a Factory Reset or Hard Reset might help.

As this takes the phone back to how it came out of the box this will delete saved data in the phones memory so please perform a Back-Up beforehand to save it.

Google 'Hard Reset Samsung Galaxy s6' or use Factory Reset in your phones settings.

If this does not help and your on the most recent Firmware then perhaps then liaise with Samsung Uk Support.

A 24 month Manufacturers Warranty is applied to the phone.

If you acquired the phone from Vodafone and has been owned for less than 14 Calendar Days which is the Cooling off period then you can request a replacement. After that period they would send it to a Repair Centre. I would recommend using Samsung as a primary option.

Hi There,

Try this and see if it helps my friend. :smileyvery-happy:

  1. Open App drawer
  2. Locate Settings
  3. Tap Quick Settings
  4. Tap Power Saving
  5. Locate Power Saving Mode
  6. Navigate to Restrict Performance
  7. Turn off touch key light [Uncheck the box just after the text]

Hope this helps.
