Hi, I have a new Smart Ultra 7 and was I wondering about the battery life and how long they last on avarage if known? Also if I needed a new one fitted in the future what sort of cost are they with fitting?

TIA 🙂

Hi,

It has a Non-removable Li-Ion 2960 mAh battery

Replacing it , if ever necessary would be at a cost as given by Vodafones repair centre.

If the phone is supplied by vodafone they attach a 24 month warranty.

"Very light usage will see you through the best part of two days, as Vodafone claims, but most moderate-to-heavy users will last comfortably through a single day of use without having to rush to a wall socket." From TechRadar & vodafone-smart-ultra-7.

Actual usage stats typically depend on individuals usage patterns, apps being used and what features are turned on in the phone.

One good old battery tip is to turn off the battery % indicator and enjoy the phone.  :Winking_smiley:

Hi thanks for the reply.

I am in Czech Republic, where they now have a 36 months guarentee on all products, but I would suspect the battery would only be covered for 12 months, so I dont really want to have to replace the battery if they dont last well and pay alot of money for a replacement as it would have to go through their service depatrment? I have tried to ask in their shops but they are less than helpful, they suggest I return it and get my money back!

With Vodafone I can return it within 30 days, no issues as long it is in perfect condition.

What are other users ideas with this ?

TIA

 Hi,

I can only confirm what Vodafone Uk offer.

Different Vodafone Networks in other countries are not connected to each other. You would need to check their warranty help pages , T&C's or chrck with the shop or customer services on battery warranty if indeed it is separate to the manufacturer warranty.

To be honest I've been using the iPhone 4 from launch in 2010 through all the iPhones launched sincd up to the iPhone 6 Plus and they all use non removable batteries. Never had a problem where a battery had to be replaced.

I'm now using a Samsung Galaxy s7 edge which again has a non removable battery I'm using with confidence.

If one of the phones specs a person is drawn to is battery possible problems in tbe future (if issues happen at all) then my suggestion is to choose a phone model that has a removable battery option.

Then if an issue happens it's simple to remove and replace.

Keep in mind your returns period.
