Can't access voicemail messages on 121

First time on the forum. When I dial 121 to access voicemail it just hangs up, if anybody else phones me and I don't answer they don't get the option to leave a voicemail. If I use the full +44 number to get to voicemail it just gives me a message to say I can't do this until I have set a pin number and must do this by dialling 121.

I am using a samsung SII, I have tried it on my old HTC and get the same problem.

It sounds as though your voicemail needs to be reset behind the scenes.  The Tech Team here will be able to help you with that, so hang on until they pick up your post, which they aim to do within 48 hours.

If you want to access voicemail from the retrieve number, or a different line, you'll need to change the pin from the default (as you've gathered).   This can also apply outside the UK if 121 doesn't work.

Actually, the other thing you could try is dialling 1210 to turn voicemail off, then 1211 to turn it on again.   It probably won't do anything, but it'll only take a moment and, well, you never know...
