Change voicemail number on iPhone 6

Hi I have just spent a very unsuccessful call onto Vodafone customer services. What I wish to do is change the voicemail number to that of HulloMail  I was advised by the agent that this couldn't be done.   I have used the HulloMail with Vodafone before on a Samsung device. I don't think the agent understood what I wanted as there was a lot of putting on hold.

How do you change the voicemail number on an iPhone 6 Hullomail have given me a number to change it to but I can't see how in settings.

Thanks

Hi

Try at your own discretion.

Tap the “Phone” icon, then "Keyboard" to access the dialer.

Step 2
Enter “*5005*86*0123456789#” using your phone's keypad. Exchange the “0123456789” for the area code and voicemail number you want to use.

Ok.

This shows the '*' in a different place.

Enter the following: "500586*123456789#." You can substitute the "123456789" with any 9-digit number you want to assign to your voicemail.
Step 5
Tap the "Call" button and the number is assigned to your iPhone.

On this option I get an error performing request notice on my screen. Thanks for replying thoug

You're Welcome.

Im not seeing any other helpful hit via a Google search.

Im wondering if  removed the option in iOS 8.

You could ask your local  store or use 's Online Chat.

I use hullomail and you don't need to do anything. As part of the setup process the app will automatically take over the voicemail service. The standard Vodafone service stays in place but doesn't receive any calls. To listen to voicemails you use the app. You can also get them emailed to you. You can also call hullomail to listen to them the old fashioned way. Hullomail will set up be contacts for you that will allow you to activate and deactivate their service.

Unfortunately the app hasn't taken over the settings I have been in touch with them direct but no luck so far.

Uninstall and reinstall and see what happens. Either way Vodafone won't be able to help at all and you need to speak to the developer. This is the code I have in the activate hullomail contact. **004*00443300625023#

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app too.
