Could Not Send texts on Sony Experia L PAYG

Hi there, has anyone had any trouble sending text messages?  Some of my messages go through fine, others say Could Not Send, and I end up having to type them out again (as you can't resend or copy and paste) and then try sending them again. Sometimes you have to resend them 2 or 3 times before they go though.  I've tried a factory reset, updated all the software on PC Companion, switch off and on again, and it still keeps happening.  Any help or advice would be appreciated before I throw it out of the window!! Thanks

If anyone else is having this problem, turns out it is actually the sim. Had my sim replaced and is working fine now!
