Customization update available

I've received a message on my new HTC 10 (unlocked, on Vodafone) with the above title.

In summary, the accomanying text says "Vodafone [...] want to give you access to a collections of applications designed to help you get the most from being a Vodafone customer. [...] This is an optional update. Download Size: 5MB."

I don't think this broad-brush, generic message is acceptable.

Can anyone - particularly someone from Vodafone with specific knowledge - tell me in detail what these customizations are, and what they do?  I don't want to install unnecessary Vodafone bloatware.

Hi. I have read of this before and it's a suite of apps such as message+ to use in place of stock apps.

If you are happy with what you have then ignore it.
