I really need an urgent help here please. I just checked my credit report and it shows as poor and when i checked the reason it shows a defaulted credit file from Vodafone.
I remembered taking the Vodafone contract in 2013 for 2 years and I have closed successfully paying on monthly installments. But the credit file showing the default amount of £35. I seriously don't remember this outstanding amount and never received any letter/email regarding this outstanding amount. This is bringing my credit score down. I need help to remove this defaulted account on my credit file please.
Requesting for an help urgently. The phone number was [Removed]

Hi @reddy_nagi9
How did you close down the account ? Via phone call to customer services or using a Pac.
After receiving the final.bill and paying it did you then recieve a Sorry your Leaving letter and a £0 bill which confirms account closure.
Most importantly.did you leave your Direct Debit in place to allow for final payments and or refunds ?

Unfortunatley if the Default is upheld as warranted then it'll remain in place for 6 years from the default date.
It would look better on your Credit File to pay the outstanding amount.
My advice is to call Vodafone and or let the Social Media Team here who read all posts catch up with your thread and they'll help you with this situation if they can.
