So the release date is the 11th of March but if you pre-order Samsung says you can benefit by having it 3 days early. Will vodafone honour that? I've pre-ordered mine but the sales guys have no idea when the phones will start to get dispatched.

Hi, i love all the build up and worry when new tech comes out that we all would like to get our hands on. To some including myself it's like waiting for Christmas Day for something you know your having but your not allowed to have it until the day comes. I think it's all part of the enjoyment. Your absolutely right that this time next week the novelty part would of worn off and it will just simply a cool smartphone again.

i think what the others are saying though is that if vodafone are clearly stating that as a thank you for pre ordering you can have the phone three days earlier than the official release (even though it is Samsung that are actually allowing this to happen) or if you pre order we will give you a VF headset free then vodafone will have to honour it because it is simply a miss sell if they don't, especially as we are entering into a contractual agreement which is covered under the consumer credit act. (The get out clause subject to availability is not something that will stand up in a court of law)

I am am confident that all pre-orders will be hounored, this event was a well publicised event and Vodafone cannot afford the bad publicity, especially as other flagship devises such as the LG G5  and iPhone 7 are next.

although it's none of your business, I stay with them because I have the employee advantage program! And just say to people who complain "just leave" is stupid! NO! I'll stay for the reason above AND I will complain whenever I want to and whenever VF will not provide me with the customer service level that I deserve!

BTW, I didn't ask for your opinion on why I stay with VF so mind your own business

I think the only course of action to take here is to wait until the 9th, if you dont have the handset by then- kick off byt all means. If you dont have it by the 12th go crazy! lol

Im very excited too, and hope to receive on the 8th, of course im anxious itll be late, but really there is nothing we can do right now but wait and see.

Be positive :Smiling:

Of course you have a right to be negative. Just seems odd to be embarking on another contract with a company you dislike so much.

I'm not paid off by Vodafone, just a satisfied customer of a few years who is happy with their service.

And you just might want to reduce the hate and anger, if for no other reason than your own peace and wellbeing. Broadcasting such negativity into the ether is just bad for your soul, my friend.

you're probably right, but unfortunately, from my own experience, the only way to have a good customer service with vodafone, is to raise the tone and become angry! If you're a "kind" customer and jus wait, you'll get ripped off and lied to, for sure! Again, just my own experience, you're all lucky if you've had a good customer service.

I'm staying with VF because the service itself is good. Good phone choices, 4G etc...

I've had dreadful customer service from Vodafone. Any time I try and change anything at all they mess up my account and it takes me 10+ calls to fix it.

I stay with Vodafone for 2 reasons

1 - they let me upgrade early and I'm incredibly impatient ..m hence me moaning about a few days delivery

2 - they are cheaper than other networks

On a side note ... They are starting to bring their customer service back onshore which is good. They are still not great but at least they understand your issues better

@AndrewBaillie10 You are spot on when you say that bringing the CS back onshore will help improve the service. I think that many of the complaints about CS not understanding the problem is just down to language difficulties where English is not the first language of the CS agent.

Also the pricing is attractive for most people and unlike other networks EE for example when changes to allowances are made vodafone do announce it rather than just drop the allowance without notifying the customer.

Also Vodafone is the only network to guarantee that prices won't rise mid contract.

I do agree they are cheaper. I pre ordered S7 on my recent upgrade. I had a look at other carriers just to see if it would be worth me switching and to be honest the tarrif i chose on VF was the cheapest i found out of all the major carriers. In some instances it was only cheaper by 1 or 2 ponds however it is still cheaper and i dont have to go through the hassle of leaving and porting my number over so it made sence for me to stay with VF. I have never had problems with VF and every time i have spoke to CS i have never had any issue.
