Disconnecting Your Mobile Service Leaving Vodafone

I gave Vodafone 30 days notice as of the 9th Dec 16 to close my wife's and my account on pay monthly.

 

We both got the standed letters "Sorry that you are leaving" and the dates of diconnection would be for my account the 9th Jan 17, and for my wife's the 10th Jan 17.  Strange as we did this on the same day and time, the 9th Dec 16.

 

I have just checked our accounts and it looks like Vodafone are still going to monies up to the end of Feburary.

 

So Vodafone's 30 days looks like 60 days.  I have phoned and was told my service would end on the dates above, but it looks like Vodafone are going to take the full amounts for both our accounts.

 

Can someone from Vodafone give me a stright answer, so that I can leave and never dawn Vodafone's door again.

Daily Update.

Missed a call from VF ( Danielle ), she left a voice mail. Infromed me that she contact me by email.

 

Checked my email, Yes, but she had sent me a four digit PIN to my phone, and that I had to give her more information, before she could look into the matter.

 

To recap, I didn't get a four digit PIN sent to my phone, and I did check  VF phone, and its still contected to the network, and no four digit PIN on that.

 

I have emailed her back, so will wait and see what the out come of this is.

 

I have attached acopy of the email, which has been redacted.

Still waiting for anyone from VF to contract me.  Or is it, no news is good news.

 

I am still contected to Vodafone service, after it was surpose to be disconncted on the 9th Jan 17.

Just spoke to Becca, and low and behold, she has closed my account.

 

I have just checked it on line, and it reports "This Account Has Been Cancelled"

 

A result, on my account, just my wife's to get sorted, but that's in hand.

 

Once again thanks to Becca, and all who has dealt with my problem.

Update On Wife's Account.

 

Just off the phone with Jitesh, about cancellation of my wife's account.

 

Account now closed on my wife's and my account.  First of all, can I say a big thank you, to the Vodafone staff who dealt with my ongoing closure of our accounts.

 

I have been with Vodafone for an extremely long time and have moved on to fresher fields and cheaper phone calls, but you never know, we both may be tempted to return to Vodafone in the future. 

 

I will keep a check on my credit score just in case Vodafone hits my credit rating.
