Disgusting Vodafone customer service on Grey iPhone 6

Ordered grey iPhone 6 on Tuesday. Was told delivery would be today. However have now been told 2-4 weeks. However, my wife ordered silver one at same time and is expecting delivery later. Vodafone full of excuses that it is not their fault but I don't believe that on Tuesday they didn't know they would not have the phones or be able to fulfil the order. Should have been offered an alternative colour choice but guess its typical Vodafone just taking the orders and showing no customer service as has happened before.

Chances are, until they got the phones into the warehouse and had time to sift through the boxes (probably not until yesterday) they wouldn't know how well Apple would hold true to their promised allocation. Pre orders are a gamble like that, especially with Apple's history of manufacturing exclusivity and desirability by purposefully undersupplying. Same as last year, same as next.

Could be a good justification of events if they told customers that when they placed their order but the fact that they didn't denies them of any credibility. Spoke to CS advisor via chat who in one conversation told me it was a 2-3 week wait and when I asked him to confirm a maximum wait of 3 weeks said it would be 2-4 weeks - joke
