Dongle Keeps Switching Off

Hi All,

I wonder if anyone could help with this problem. I've recently changed my PC and since i've put the dongle into the new system i have have the following problems at different times.

1. Once on the net , broadband switches off the light goes out on the dongle. This never happened on the previous pc
2. To start/connect the dongle to the net, i have to open my computer and click the icon, sometimes though this just has a drive name and when i click it does nothing, other times it will have the vodafone logo but when i click it, it opens new window asking me which programme i want to use to open it? or autoplay (again never had this issue on other PC).

At the moment i'm having to unplug the dongle etc each time till the logo allows me to access to connect or remove from the programmes and start again. Not ideal resulting in 20 mins on the net 40 minutes messing about trying to get it connected.

Enough complaining mow but if anyone has any advice it would be appreciated

Firstly welcome to the forum and I'm sure we can help.

This sounds like there's been a problem during the initial installations stage of the device, or rather the VMC software. I have a few recommendations you can try, the first is to totally uninstall the current version then reboot your computer.

Secondly you'll need to download and install the latest version of Vodafone Mobile Connect, which is VMC 9.3.6.

While you're there I'd advise you take the opportunity to look at our Online services (i.e My Account), you can use these to manage up to 40% of all services relating to your account, worth a look if you haven't already done so.

Once done, you should be able to connect without a problem, please keep posted on your progress; I'm always on hand to help, :)
