Firstly welcome to the forum and I'm sure we can help.
This sounds like there's been a problem during the initial installations stage of the device, or rather the VMC software. I have a few recommendations you can try, the first is to totally uninstall the current version then reboot your computer.
Secondly you'll need to download and install the latest version of Vodafone Mobile Connect, which is
VMC 9.3.6.
While you're there I'd advise you take the opportunity to look at our Online services
(i.e My Account), you can use these to manage up to 40% of all services relating to your account, worth a look if you haven't already done so.
Once done, you should be able to connect without a problem, please keep posted on your progress; I'm always on hand to help,
