1) Happens just in location you have to go out onto the street

2) EH8 8EH

3) Not tried the SIM in a new phone but it happened to all 3 of us each with different sims and phone models at the same time.

4) No errors just no signal...

5) Happens on all signals 2G, 3G, 4G. Just 'no signal'

6) today when moved in

7) So far it's permanent

Hi @AEH4

From this link > Vodafone Network Checker.

You can Register for Updates in the above link.

For people on eligible contract types and accepted handset models they can use Link > Vodafone wi-fi-calling. <

There is also a device called a Vodafone Sure Signal that costs £69 to buy and it creates a 3G signal in the home that works off Home Broadband Wifi.

I hope this clears up asap for you.

@AEH4 You should get good 2G/3G/4G coverage in your area.

I've checked the fault showing on our network status checker and I don't think this relates to your issue.

Out of interest, what building material is your new house made of?

Hi Alex,

Thanks for your response. As it's halls of residence I don't know what the building is made of. All I know is that for any of us to get Vodafone signal we have to completely leave the building and walk to the pavement edge to get signal. As there are no landlines within the building it's far from ideal! Thanks for checking though.

@AEH4 As mentioned in my previous post, you're located in a good coverage area so it's very strange that you have to leave the building in order to get a connection.

We'd be happy to take a closer look into this for you and if needed, pass this case across to our Network engineers for them to help out.

If you'd like us to go ahead with this, please contact us directly using the information in the private message I've sent.
