Early upgrade

Hi, my battery on S4 has completey gone does not charge at all, my upgrade is on 23rd August and is there any chance of upgrading early as I do not have a phone to keep in contact with family abroad.

You could speak to Customer services on 191 and ask what the costs would be to go through an upgrade earlier than your natural early upgrade date. 

Can can you not borrow a phone from a family member , work colleague or friend or limp through to the natural upgrade date so your not paying any further fee's to upgrade. Or replace or borrow a battery.

You are within your upgrade period so you can go into your local store at your convenience and upgrade straight away, going into your local store and upgrading will be virtually instant and cut out all the inconveniences of doing it online avoiding any issues that this often creates.

A new battery should cost £10 - £12 - at least yours is user-replaceable.  You can get them cheaper, but the quality can be uncertain - on the other hand, if you only want it for a few weeks...

Make sure the seller is UK based, for speedy delivery, of course.
