Please forgive my ignorance, but I don't know how to obtain an email address.

Vodafone suspended creation of new accounts on their own system some while
back and no eta of when replacement will be ready.

If you don't have an existing account with another provider you will need to apply for one.

Hotmail, yahoo, google and many isps provide free accounts.

Bacupian's spot on here.

At the moment there's no timescale for the Vodafone Mail replacement.

I'm a hotmail/googlemail man myself, as both these sites provide free email with lots of space, and it just takes a minute or two to set up.

The other good thing is once you've got your email address, you can use the automated Email Setup on our website to enable it on your phone too
