Hi FOS,

Is this your Vodafone.net email address?

If so, for some reason Hotmail are classing this email address as a Spam address - I can't email hotmail from my vodafone.net address either

It's a known issue which we're waiting to hear back from hotmail about (We're changing the Vodafone.net accounts soon anyway though so this shouldn't be a problem much longer ;)).

Yes, its my .net address.
Can you expand on "we're changing the Vodafone.net accts soon"
How is this going to affect the users???
Will it mean any software changes at the user end??

Hi FOS,

I’ll be happy to clarify :)

.net is being discontinued which should resolve the smtp and blocking issues that we’re currently experiencing.

There are to be no software changes that I’m aware of for the user. :)

All the best,

Jenny

Jenny, thanks, but if its not going to be .net, it must be something else? which means if I'm using Outlook or Outlook Express, I would have to change the setup config.
When is all this taking place?

Hi FOS

We've not been given exact dates as to when these changes will take place yet, but we have already stopped allowing new registrations to vodafone.net now.

As soon as we get any news on what we'll be changing to and when this will take place we'll let you know! :D

Incase you haven't heard, tomorrow heralds the arrival of another Freebie Friday here at Vodafone, and this time we're giving you the chance to use Mobile Internet for free on your phone! You can find full details of our latest fantastic freebie here. ;)

Finally, here at the eForum, we're always striving to make the world a better place. Take our quick and simple Survey to tell us how you think we're doing. All of your feedback goes towards improving your Vodafone experience!
