If I am in Europe zone 1 how much does it cost to make a call or receive a call and how much does it cost to send sms or receive a sms to UK and other Europe zone 1 mobile numbers?

Yes I realised that but at the minute they are sending out that message to all customers. As I said seems a bit daft to me.

It depends on how the overseas network handles roaming calls.

You will probably be roaming on Vodafone Spain.

Hi. They may or may not as @AnnS has said, it depends on how overseas networks handle the call, unless you know someone there using the network you are going to use that you can call and see what happens.

The person calling you will have dialled a UK number; they may hear a different ringing tone when the call rings on your phone, but unless they call you often, I wouldn't expect they'd realise that anything different was happening.

A few years back, someone rang me on my UK mobile while I was in Portugal - he definitely didn't realise I was away from the UK, and hung up immediately when he realised where I was, apparently because he thought it would be costing him money to call me. I was a bit miffed, as it cost me rather more to call him back that it had been costing to receive his call!
