Hi - i've only been a member of Broadband by Vodafone for a few months. I've never really had the promised 70MB+ since i arrived, i think for a few days i got about 50MB which was cool, but now i never get anywhere near that, my question is how can i leave this terrible company without paying? I never signed up for this, and in my offer i was 'guaranteed 72MB'.

Anyone?

Hi, The T&C's are found here

It states you should have been advised of a maximum and minimum speed and if your speed falls below the minimum then you may be able to terminate.

Do you know what the minimum speed was advised as?

Hi.

Yes, it was 68MB.

I've just done another speed test and fiddled with the wifi channels again, i live in a 2 bedroom flat and can see the router from here.

18mb down and 13mb

Look a the state of this. I actually do want to leave now. I am being ripped off for £30 a month for barely being able to download anything. I've tried here

http://www.vodafone.co.uk/cs/groups/public/documents/contentdocuments/vfcon080531.pdf

and the specific line here says 'If the service is materially degraded for an unreasonable period of time or if we don’t do something fundamental that we should have done under this Agreement within 7 days of you asking us in writing you may be able to leave the Agreement early without paying a termination fee. Please contact us to discuss your options'

It's been consistently bad since day 1.

How do i 'contact you'?

Its like ##~## in the wind contacting Vodafone.

I suspect the issue is the lack of capacity on vf's tin-can network.  Basically you are screwed, the only way to escape is when they do a price rise.

All they offer is a min sync speed (not actual throughput), so your line can sync suitably fast, but vf can provide sub dial-up speeds and claim that all is fine.

@JustmeOK I'm sorry to hear that your speeds have dropped recently and understand how frustrating this must be.

You can get in touch with our Broadband team via Live Chat or by giving us a call on 08080 034 515 for Home Broadband support (free from all UK landlines and mobiles) with lines open between 8am and 11pm, seven days a week.

The team will be happy to run through diagnostics on your line to see if they can pinpoint any problems and discuss your options with you.

Thanks, but I'm moving home soon and hopefully won't need to use Vodafone again.
