What gives????
Just logged in to look for a SIM only deal for a friend, only to find ou that as of this month Vodafone have changed their VEA scheme to only allow 1 extra discounted service, rather than the usual 5!
On top of that they have got rid of the 30% off SIM only, making that 15%. Not too bothered about how much discount is given, any discount is better than none and I dont want to sound ungrateful but its loosing the extra 3 friends and family as most of my family use the VEA scheme through me.
It was a nice little touch from Vodafone that kept my interest in them and a way of saying thank you for sticking their masts on top of my company building!
So whats with the change of heart Vodafone?

A business decision that they wont comment on in afraid.
I remember people being upset at the £10 membership fee when it was first introduced and is re payable at each account change / upgrade.

5 out of 7 of their current sim only plans are already discounted so you can't apply the discount to them anyway, not much point to a discount if you can't really use it, though every little helps!

I agree - I haven't been able to use my daughter's VEA for three years, and I always thought that the scheme was very generous witn multiple people on one VEA account and the employee doesn't even need to be a Vodafone customer themselves.
But it's always irritating when a nice scheme is withdrawn in whole or part.
