Hi,
I'm due for a flexi-upgrade on January 1st and I have a couple of questions:
a) Do I need to pay a fee? I'm 6 months into a 24 month contract and want to go for a more economical tariff and a different phone to the Iphone SE I have.
b) I have another contract where I accidently signed up to a new one with a different number in February 2017 where I obtained an IPhone 5s. What can I do about that, as that can't be upgraded until November 2018.
I want to be economical as much as I can, therefore I can change to suitable tarriffs. Thanks.

When you upgrade using the flexi upgrade option when on an eligable Red tariff, this will be subject to an early upgrade charge, you won't be able to change to a tariff with a lower value. There is further information below.
What’s a Flexi-upgrade and how do I get one?
As far as your other contract is concerned, this will be in commitment until the expiry date. If you no longer want the contract, your options will be paying off what remains of the contract and try selling the phone to recoup some of the early termination charges. or continue paying the monthly line rental.

Thanks for your response AnnS. I was just curious to know how it works. I'm fairly happy with the plan I have with my main number, but would want a new mobile phone.
Can I actually sell either my 5S or SE to put towards a new mobile?

You most certainly can. The phone is yours and you are free to sell the phone.
If you get a new phone you can save money by changing to SIM only at the end of contract.
