There is one, and only one web site that I cannot access from my netbook using my dongle, but can if I connect through my wireless system at home, so that points to the dongle or VMC software. I get a message that I am forbidden access to the server. The site is www.dukewayne.com

Sounds like the Vodafone web filter is kicking in, you might not be able to access that site through the Vodafone network.

It is just a forum.

If the site hasn't been vetted by the Vodafone administrator, I'd assume it would be in the block list. Hopefully a moderator will pick this thread up for you and help you out.

What has this got to do with the VF admin.

Hi Robert Isaac,

This is an unusual one - I can see that the forum in question is a generic fan forum. That said, forums and chat rooms can sometimes be subject to filter blocks. I'm not absolutely sure if that is where the problem lies, so we'll check a few things first, but it may be an outside option.

Can you confirm if you can get to other online forums without issue? Also, do you have any form of content control in place? If you do, you may want to disable this briefly for a test to see if you can access the site without it, the switch it back on. Don't forget that if you have content contrrol in place on your Vodafone account, you can manage this and any other blocks and subscriptions via My Account. If doing this removes the block, then we've found the cause of the block, so if you can confirm what type of control it is you removed for the successful test we can see what we can advise for clearing the issue.

Finally, have you tried from different browsers on the same machine, and what exact error message did you get with each? Different messages always point to differenty types of issues.

I look forward to hearing from you.

This is the error message:

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access / on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. Apache/1.3.41 Server at www.dukewayne.com Port 80

I only have one browser on this machine - IE7. I don't get any problems with anything else.

What do I look for in my account to check any blocks.

Hi Bob,

If this was a Content Control issue, you'd be redirected to a specific Vodafone page informing you you were being blocked instead, so I don't think that's it.

I suspect this may be a firewall issue on our end. Can I ask that any other Mobile Broadband users reading this try to access the website with their modems and let me know if they're getting the same results? This will aid us in troubleshooting the issue :)
