Found Iphone 5 abroad

I found an Iphone 5 in Thailand and want to return it to the owner who apparently is Brittish. The phone i locked but there is a vodaphone SIMcard with serial number and serial and IMEI on the phone. The police in Thailand do not want it and I do not want to call international to Vodaphone. How can I get a message to the owner, it seems impossible...

The only way is if Vodafone will do it for you. There is no way for you to be given any of the user of the SIM card's details due to the DPA.
One of the tech team will pick up your post and advise you what they can do to help.
