GPS / aGPS on VF Smart Tab N8

I'm toying with getting a VF Smart Tab N8 and hooking it to my VF phone (massive data plan!) over WiFi and using to drive GPS software on the 10" screen.

The spec sheet shows it has aGPS rather than "full" GPS.

The Internet is awash with warnings about the differences between "aGPS" and "A-GPS" .

Given no-one wants an inaccurate GPS guide on the screen, will I have an issue, especially as I'll not be using a SIM in the tablet..?

This Wikipedia entry says they're the same thing.  Wikipedia always needs to be read with caution, but on fact-based technical matters, it's normally reliable.
