My opinion is that the iPhone is without a SD Card helps keep it sandboxed away from potential threats.
I've always bought the 16gb versions as that's enough for my usage pattern. I use Dropbox for storing data and an iPod Touch for listening to my tunes while commuting.
I'm fortunate to be in an area with good signal with 4G and speeds touching 40-50mpbs and upload speeds of 10+mpbs.
Like you I have jailbroken my iPhone's and like how that can show the true potential of the phone.
Being able to apply themes and various tweaks has been a good experience for me.
The only issue is if a person uses ssh and do not change the default password.
It's quite funny how Apple implement a new iOS feature which has clearly been borrowed from a known tweak.
The Samsung Galaxy s7 edge has certainly caught my eye and will be making my final decision September to buy that sim free or not.

Hello @Tink-GB
As I'm also personally interested in the Samsung Galaxy s7 Edge being my next phone if the next iPhone brings nothing new to the table that ticks my wants and needs boxes (I'm currently using the iPhone 6 Plus) I've been watching a few forums very closely.
Now to add balance its typical that we do not see posts from very happy people who have not experienced issues, but I have seen quite a few posts about various experienced issues which looks to be mainly software related. It's almost like the phones hardware is not working seamlessly with Marshmallow like it should. Lots of discussion between the two chips (Qualcomm Snapdragon and Exynos variants) that used which depends on where you are in the world.
I have read that Samsung have released software updates to improve issues such as touchscreen sensitivity for the Edge version etc.
Just to note : A person has 30 days from owning it to have it swapped out for a new phone , not a repair if it's faulty.

This is one of the reasons iPhones have always appealed to me. iOS is pushed out by Apple untouched by the Network.
I always buy any phone sim free for this reason and also that no network bloat ware is applied either.
I can understand why the networks refrain from giving a timeframe as if they did give one and then delayed it for any reason the backlash could be far reaching.
Maybe you've seen the Vodafone Firmware Statement.

Both phones have their pro's and con's I'm sure.
However I'd personally lean towards the s7.
I'm keeping an eye on a few s7 /s7 edge forums and the posts do seem to point towards hiccups related to software. The hardware appears sound.
Hopefully Samsung will react and push out applicable updates.
For me Samsung has until around September 16 {Apples Keynote} to show improvement. :smileywink:

Definitely helps.
All opinions welcome. 👍🏻👍🏻
I choose not to sync contacts between my contacts app and Facebook as it introduces way too much unnecessary information for me into my app.
