I have had the charging pins on 2 Galaxy phones (s6 and s7) break ( two different users so it's not just me!) Vodafone charge £200 to repair as not covered by warranty....any one else have this issue?

Hi
I use the Samsung Galaxy s7 edge and have not had anything happens like that. I do opt to use the Samsung Fast Adaptive Wireless Charging Stand.
Have you tried speaking with Samsung uk support online or if you have one local visit a Samsung Services Centre.

Vodafone aren't allowed by any of the manufacturers to carry out warranty work is there's evidence of damage, which this would be. Your best bet is to go direct to Samsung as they will take a pragmatic view and allow themselves the flexibility to do the work free if they decide there's a fault. Micro usb sockets are quite fragile, so it's always advisable to connect and disconnect cables carefully. That said, there have been various issues with various makes over the years and manufacturers have often been sympathetic.
