Given iphone 4s to friend

I have given my old iphone 4s to a friend but they can't connect to the internet. It is not giving them the option to join a network the circle just keeps going round.

I was on contract with vodafone and they have a pay as you go sim so i don't know if that has anything to do with it?

PAYG internet settings can differ from Pay Monthly ones.

Depending on  what version of iOS you're on if you go to Settings > Mobile > Mobile Data Network and check what APN, username and password you have installed.

For pay as you go try:

APN – pp.vodafone.co.uk

Username - wap

Password - wap
