@Blue305 could it still not work out cheaper for you with your VEA to get a SIM only deal and buy the phone? I've been with VF for 16 years and I got 40% off a new SIM only deal; 1GB data (enough for my needs) 1000 minutes and unlimited texts for £9 (12 month contract) then the phone was £512.99 (using HTC10 as a discount code) from HTC. Calculated over 24 months it made the monthly cost £30.35. I suspect that the prices would still be quite expensive (probably around £42 per month) if they got the phone in, so even with the 20% VEA it might still work out cheaper as a SIM only deal ... just a thought :smileyhappy:
In addition, you could get your insurance from a gadget insurance company cheaper, or many banks do a kind of "Plus" account for about £10 per month that often includes mobile phone insurance, travel insurance, extended warranty etc might be worth asking your bank.

True, it is a lot of money to fork out in one go. It's alright with a 0% credit card, but easy to get into debt with them if you're not careful. I was going to wait a couple of months myself because I think the prices will be lower in a couple of months anyway. Everyone I have spoken too at Vodafone CS has said that they think they will get the phone too. It is frustrating though as it's clearly a popular phone at the moment and I cannot see why they wouldn't have it. Good luck, you never know VF may come through.

You are not wrong, I went into a CPW shop the other day and they quoted £240 up front and £42 pm! He then tried to ram a S7 down my throat on EE stating that the HTC10 was rubbish. I told him to stick it where the sun don't shine and promptly left, very unlikely to return. I hate forceful bias salesmen who clearly have an agenda to move certain phones.
Having said that..... if vodafone don't get the HTC10 very soon I'll get it direct from EE and they'll loose my so far loyal custom!

@DANIM24, I don't know about EE, but VF customer service is atrocious. I feel like some people on chat just say what they please, they provide incorrect and misleading information and I'm not getting at the HTC 10 stocking questions now. I had my fair share of the rubbish cust. service and I can tell you you might be doing the right thing.
