Hi All,
I want to know and download the latest firmware available for Vodafone UK HTC One M9. Can you please confirm the latest version.
Thanks.

If you go into Settings|About|Software Updates, the phone will check whether there's anything available. If nothing's found, then what you have is the latest available. I believe the phone came with Lollipop initially, but I'm not sure whether it got Marshmallow. Unbranded ones got Nougat, but I doubt they'll get Oreo.

Is that a Vodafone branded one? Mine has that and is unbranded.

Indeed it is a modified phone. When you look at the HTC Development Centre, they don't have anything newer than 5.0.2 for Vodafone UK. They do have version 7 for WWE and HTC Gen Unlock and markets and it is possible to pick one of those and update to it. Alternatively HTC developers have lots of versions available. You do need to have an understanding of what you are doing though, as it is possible to mess up the phone.

I rather suspected it wasn't Vodafone-issued. The problem with network-branded devices is that, if they're not heavy sellers, OS updates often get ignored. Even manufacturers tend to give up after a couple of steps. There are too many stages in issuing updates to Android unless you stick with Google devices. The One programme is interesting, though mainly intended for emerging markets (as they're called) at the moment.
