HTC One - wont turn on

Hi,

My HTC one turned itself off yesterday not long after a full charge. It won't turn back on.

Tried power button and volume up. Connected it to laptop and the laptop recognises it has a device connected but still won't power on. 

Help please!!!!

Hi, how old is the phone? Sounds like it needs to go for a repair.

Just under a year old. I have mobile insurance but at £75 excess I wanted to explore all other solutions first.
