Has anyone managed to return a Note 7?

Initially Vodafone sent me the royal mail return pack which was declined at the post office and I've been waiting over a week for a dpd return pack now which I was told would arrive last week. Surprise surprise, no sign of it! Really ##~## off with Vodafone and their customer service, soon as I get this returned and get a refund I'm done with this network! Has anyone had any joy returning the note 7 and getting a refund?

Well good news and bad news, bad news is Vodafone did text me on Saturday to say my plan is still stuck..apparently there is an open returns bag order, which is great as DPD have alreasdy delivered it back to Vodafone...none of which is my problem !!! Anyway the good news is I tried a Three sim over the weekend and i can now get a good signal from them.

you may aswell just ##~## it on a bonfire at the weekend as vodafone don't give a monkeys about sorting returns. i've been trying to return mine since 15th oct and despite numerous phone calls and lies from everyone i have spoken to nothing changes just the same responses that it was stuck in the system and to wait a further 3-5 working days. they even told me to take it into a vodafone shop which i did and it was no surprise when they refused to take it and said they had a specialist online team dealing with returns. i just laughed and walked out of the shop. even their complaints team wasnt bothered when i spoke to them about the hassle i have had. after being a loyal customer for 15 years the trestment i have had after the numerous calls is disgusting and i cannot wait to leave. promising me i will be compensated for the hassle is no good when they say this can only happen when the device is returned which is proving impossible.

vodafone are happily taking £45 a month from my account though whilst all this is going on so the next step is to cancel my direct debit and i bet they soon get in touch to resolve it then

if anyone reads this and is considering joining vodafone then save yourself the hassle and join ee, three, o2 or someone who actually cares about their customers.

this extract from vodafones response to the ofcom ruling on their inability to handle complaints made me chuckle

'Our new billing and customer management system is designed to give our customers the best experience possible. It puts the customers in control of every aspect of the Vodafone products and services upon which they rely. It also enables our customer service and retail employees to respond quickly and efficiently to changing customer needs and swiftly put things right if they go wrong'

whoever wrote this has clearly never tried to return a note 7 to vodafone

Teknokat. Totally agreed. I think the only thing we can do is cancel direct debits. I went through all the 191 being passed from person to person , team to team, visit to store with no help. Ordered the returns bag. Waited a week, spoke to someone else from the returns team who said the bag order was stuck. Ordered another bag, another week has passed, still no bag. Payment still being taken for a phone i can't use. I'll cancel the direct debit this weekend if nothing else happens.

Still had no joy! Been told the past two weeks that the bag return is stuck on the system and a super/power user will delete the order and process a dpd order. Told yesterday it will be 48 hours, lol. I've cancelled the direct debit now as I've had enough of this whole debacle and refuse to continue to be charged for a phone I can't use. Hopefully this will prompt Vodafone to contact me for once when they see the payment decline :Smiling:

yep mine was stuck as well, currently half way through my 3rd "it will be done in the next 48hrs" message from Vodafone. The last call was good, they confirmed the warehouse had receivd my Note 7 back from DPD on 4th october, very impressive as DPD didnt pick it up until 19th October.

Same here unfortunatly, I recieved my first note 7 in August and returned the 2nd a week and a half ago.  Hardly used the device but had to pay for the contract regardless.

As of today my package still is not showing as recieved at the vodafone warehouse, meanimg I can't cancell/upgrade or anything else 😕

Truely awful service, especially since we're paying for a premium device.
