Help!! Installing VSS on another broadband line then moving to another

As part of an ongoing and lengthy troubleshooting of my VSS V3 installation - see https://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Vodafone-Sure-Signal/Help-My-New-VSS-V3-will-not-install/td-p/249657... -  it has been suggested I plug my VSS into another broadband router to get it to connect to vodafone. Then if that is successful then move it back to my connection. My question is what do I need to do before and after the move? Do I need to de-register and re-register the vss etc?? or do I simply plug it in and wait for it to configure then unplug and move back?

Thanks

@mikebrunger You won't need to de-register your Sure Signal, it should automatically work.

And chances are if the connection that it does not work on is fibre then you'll need to stump the cost of a replacement modem/router.

I told Vodafone 2 years ago about issues with fibre with BT OpenReach and cable boxes

... did they listen... NO!!

It is important to report all failed SureSignal V3 using the links below to:

My router is a plusnet/sagecom 2704n connected to fibre. So what router would you suggest I use if this is the case? Plusnet tell me they have many SS running on their routers.
