Could do with some help/advice regards my iphone contract phone please as Im sick of Vodafone
Sent my iphone 5s for repair and paid 144 for repair as they said it had water damage lol....Vodafone sent phone back and after 2wks it started turning off and restarting but thought it was a glitch and persisted with it for a while...Phone finally got to be unusable so sent it back again and they wanted another 144 for another repair due to it being out of its 3mth repair warranty...After my first repair Vodafone sent me a phone back with a different IMEI number too so it wasnt even my original phone I got back..Put complaint in and to say I feel as if Im going round in circles is an understatment...I refuse to pay 144 for a repair to my phone when it was basically playing up from when I received it and due to it not being the origanal phone I got on my contract I want to know where I stand
I want to cancel my contract but have 10mth left of the contract. I basically dont have a usable contract phone at the minute...Any ideas please of what I can do. My phone is currently at the repair centre again...Im very annoyed with how you get treated to be honest and feel like a pawn in a game

@stickler On the private message I've sent, there's a hyperlink on the word here - click on this.
Once you've clicked this, you'll need to enter the code I've also sent on the same message - this is located on the line below, slightly to the right. :smileyhappy:
Once you've popped this code in the box, hit 'Go' and it'll load up the form - please then complete this with all the details asked for and once you're finished you'll need to click 'Send form' at the bottom of the page.
Very shortly after you've sent the form, you should get an automated email from us, to the email that you've provided - this is to say that we've successfully received your form and we'll be in touch. (Please note: this automated email can sometimes go into your spam/junk folders - so be sure to check!)
The email will also contain a unique reference number in the subject line and will look like [#12234566] - once you've received this, please post your unique reference number in a reply on this thread.
If you need any further help, please let us know - it's what we're here for! :smileyhappy:

Alex I can't click on 'here' on my message...it is not a link for some reason.
I also seem not to be able to read it all...My last part of the message says 'Thers a' and then no more. I have 3 lines of your message. Can you psot the link on here or resend a link as a PM and I shall get it done

Please keep us updated and let us know if you experience any further issues with the private message.

Hi Natasha and Alex
Well firstly I have some unexpected good news. I received a replacement iphone 5s today. To say Im shocked sums it up. I thought it was Vodafone returning my phone I sent back for repair as my last email from VF (yesterday) was requesting me to contact the repair centre as my repair would cost £144. After hanging up on them last time I phoned due to them requesting this also, after CS seemed to have got involed and made me feel they had it sorted...and the recent emails request money for the repair, the last thing I expected was a replacement phone....
I do have a friend whos wife is a VF manager who may have said something but I dont know if she has or not as of yet....so as it stands folks Im a happy chappy to have a iphone 5s replaced without forking out the £144 they requested again
BUT...and I say BUT...it should not have got to this point in the first place and I have a bitter taste in my mouth from this experience. Corperations are just after your pennies and CS in a lot of cases is dictated by the board who just think 'PROFIT'.....I was not trying to pull a fast one and needed help as I felt I was on a roundabout when trying to get VF to listen to my arguement
But as it stands Im grateful to have received a working phone. I will learn from this and may change provider when my contract is up...but more than likely this is the norm thoughout them all !?!
Thank You for replies and messages folks to those who did...its nice to know you where trying to help so thanks

@stickler - It’s a shame to hear you feel that way and that you’re considering cancelling your account due to your recent experience, however I’m pleased this has now been resolved.
Please let us know if you need any further help in the future.

Hi Jenny
Thanks...I probably wont cancel my contract tbh but the merry-go-round Ive just been on I feel was unnecessary...I may change to an android phone rather than apple...I shall see how things go.
Its nice to have this forum to ask questions and advice. Im grateful atm that I have not had to pay what I felt was a unfair fee for a defective replacement phone to be fixed again for it possibly to do the same thing....but luckily Ive had a favorable outcome to which Im thankful

You’re very welcome @stickler!
I’m an Android user too - I’ve currently got the Samsung Galaxy S7 and I love it!
