Huawei P9 lite messaging app only saving to sim card

Huawei p9 lite will only save SMS messages to sim. This means they flag a notification at all when received, and I have to go into menu- advanced settings- manage simcard messages in order to view them.

Hi. Someone had this exact problem a few days back and they sorted it by putting an SD card in the phone, do you have one in yours?

Usualky when this is happening it's a setting that needs changing. 

Sometimex using an alternative SMS app can be a resolution too.

Not only that. as we all know , backup data to a computer is the most safe way , most of the people like backuping phone data to computer , so we can transfer messages to computer then we can extract data from backup files at any time ,

I use Android Manager tool to transfer SMS, it enables to transfer and backup text messages on Android, also works for media files and Apps.
