I cancelled my EE contract on the 20/09/2014 having made the decision to join Vodafone and obtained my pac code the same day. Following this I ordered the iPhone 6 slate grey 64gb via your online facility on the 20/09/2014. I subsequently never received a order confirmation and was worried that the order had never been received so I called the customer service team. I was advised that the order had never been received & ‘not to order online’ in future as there were underlying problems with the service, great coming from such a large company! I placed a telephone order on the 25/09/2014 for the same phone and received my order confirmation the same day with a date for delivery of the 04/10/2014. Every week this has been pushed back. Starting to get a little concerned that I would lose my number I spoke to customer services on Sunday the 12/10/2014 to try and outline my options with regards to the pac code. They advised that they would send out a sim card so I could transfer my existing number to my temporary number allocated to my account, they ordered the sim there and then and advised that this would be with me in two days via royal mail and I wouldn't need to sign for it. By Thursday the sim still hadn't arrived! I rang customer services again to investigate why the sim hadn't arrived, they said the order had been cancelled for security reasons, despite this nobody at Vodafone had contacted me. The handler suggested that they could get me a sim sent next working day, however, when questioned they advised 2-3 working days, apparently they have to say this because the customer is sometimes ‘hyper’?!. Anyway, it ended with the handler putting a note on my account that I would pick up a sim in store as this was the quickest & easiest option. I therefore attended your store on Manchester Market St to pick up my sim. Upon attending the store the assistant took my details and advised no temporary number had been allocated to my account, this is despite me being given one ((Removed according to House Rules). The overall service in the store was extremely poor, the manager was behind the till point offering no assistance to me in any way, in fact she was inputting the teams commission into the till laughing and joking. I left the store without a sim card and I am now in the position where I am going to lose my number. I am absolutely disgusted with the level of service received from Vodafone and I am now left without a phone that is critical for business use. I would like to know how this has been allowed to happen and why something so simple is obviously so difficult for Vodafone.I would like to raise a formal complaint.
Yours sincerely,
Jack Johnson
