1) Does the issue happen in just one location? If so, how far do you have to travel to regain service? As always have to travel 3 miles to pick up the Thurso mast

2) What is the full postcode (e.g. ST1 1AA) of where the issue occurs? If you don't want this showing on the eForum, add it to your profile here. KW 14 8XF Tain of Olrig mast (KW14 8SY)

3) Does the issue occur if you try your SIM card in a different phone? Yes all vodafone phones in the house have no reception, EE ones do

4) What errors are seen or heard when the issue occurs? No reception

5) Does this happen on 2G, 3G, 4G or all? Only get 2g up here ....sigh

6) When did you first notice this issue? 2 Jan

7) Is the issue permanent or intermittent? If intermittent, are there certain times of the day when it occurs? No reception at all so permanent

Hi

Hope you don't mind but I've had a peek at your postcode in the network Checker.

Nothing is showing in regards to the masts being at issue and there is no planned maintenence.

I'm wondering if you are suffering from mast congestion or weather conditions.

Have you considered a sure signal that creates a 3g signal in the home that works off home broadband but does cost a one off £69

Or Calling over WiFi is on an eligible tariff and accepted compatible handset.

Current Phone  >

Samsung Galaxy s²⁴ Ultra 512gb.

No fault ever shows on the checker but in the last year we have not had reception for weeks at a time and it takes endless calls to vodafone to get them to admit there is an issue with the Tain of Olrig mast. If you had looked where I live then you would have ruled out network congestion! I am not paying for a sure signal when we used to get full reception in the house and outside but now Vodafone can't be bothered to maintain their masts properly....or even invest in them. 2g offered from them yet EE now provide 4g.

@pbartlett I've taken a look at your local 2G serving site (6481) and can see that it's performing as expected, with no dips in performance or faults which would be impacting your service.

Please change your mobile settings to 2G only whilst at home.

If you experience issues whilst on 2G only, please let us know and we'll investigate further.

You can check what you want but there is no reception here for a 3rd day. Usually get good reception in and out the house. There is only 2g here. Multiple vodafone phones in the household and none work at home but all work 3 miles away....doesn't take a genius to work out its a mast fault again. Everytime, and its with increasing frequency, there is a mast fault vodafone deny any issue and we are left with no reception for days and have to make several complaints before any admission is made. Its just shocking. Customer for 14 years with no real issues in this area then multiple issues in the last year and shocking customer service. Can't wait till May when we can move to EE and get a modern reliable mobile service
