Loading ringtones onto a Vodafone V500 handset

I want to load and use my own ringtones on my Vodafone V500 Android handset - can this be done and if so how please (in VERY easy steps!)

Hi,

I do not use that phone but the ways are typically the same. 

I use either my data cable to hook up the phone to computer and drag and drop over from the Pc to the phone. 

Or use the Zedge site or Zedge App to download directly to the phone.

Sorted!  In the end I manually recorded the tune putting the phone next to a speaker...and then it was visible to apply as a ringtone. A rather manual solution but it worked!

That is indeed a workaround but may have affected the true clarity of the tone.
