Hi,

May I ask which model of phone you use ? What's it's internal storage capacity.

Usually sending what you can to a Sd card if available will help and delete rarely used apps, old emails, pictures, video, calendar entries, notes and texts and contacts.

Clear app caches.

Clear System caches.

Then reboot the phone by turning it Off And On.

One google search

Thanks have tried removing a lot, it is a Vodafone Smart Ultra 6, 750mb,

sorry do not know how to transfer onto a SDcard,

Hi,

According to the specs sheet I've looked at that phone should have 16gb of internal storage.

Out of that what's left ?

Ive not used that phone but on most you can look at settings like in the camera to set all photos taken are stored in the Sd card.

Music and videos can be stored there too.

Not all phones will allow the movement of apps to the Sd Card.

The user manual may help which is Here.

A Vodafone Highstreet Store employee should be able to take you through using it too.

Just to cover that, you'll need to add an sd card (the manual will show you how).   You can then use the system File Manager app to move content to it.   It's a good idea to copy first, then delete the originals when you're happy that the new files are all in place OK.

The files to move are photos and music.   You can also set the default storage for the camera to the sd card so that new shots go there automatically.   If you do that first and take a photo, it'll create the folder where it wants it and you can then move the old ones to the same place.

To see how much storage is left (and what's using it), go into Settings|Storage & USB and it'll tell you.   The phone may be workign OK now, but it'll probably slow down and may be unable to add new content as it fille up.

Thank you so much for your reply, I now know the problem and am going into the local shop tomorrow to have a SC card put in, I will then take notice of what you say oin how to use it, thanks again

You can put a card in yourself and a Vodafone shop may not be the cheapest source (though it would be the most reliable if you're not confident*).   Get them to show you the file manager app as well.

If you have any further queries, don't be afraid to come back here.

* Always buy memory devices from a reputable and reliable source.  Some "cheap" options are poor quality or even not the capacity stated.

Well a strange thing has happend, I could not get a signal on my phone and when my daughter came I ask her if she could, yes she could, so she said to me turn your phone off count 10 and turn on again, and would you guess the signal came BUT also the message I was having about space has gone,

now what, think I will forget it ever happend
