I have a mobile wi fi device on a 20GB, 30 day rolling contract.
Signed up in a vodafone shop and explained that I wanted to use the device when on holiday in France. Guy in shop assured me that this contract is fine to use in Europe with no extra costs.
Just making sure as I can't find any info that confirms this on line.
Can anyone help??
Thanks

Hi
Some information in costs-travelling-abroad
Ensure no abroad style bars are on your account.
To add - Vodafone cannot guarantee connection on an abroad network.

OK, thanks for your reply. So will I need to activate euro traveller then?
If that is the case then we will only be able to use 500MB per day and it will cost £3 per day as well.
So the guy in the shop has given me wrong info?

Hello @holytrinity
With Vodafone EuroTraveller and Vodafone WorldTraveller you can take your UK data allowance for your Mobile Wi-Fi device or data dongle with you when you’re abroad.
- Vodafone EuroTraveller lets you use your UK data allowance (up to 500MB a day) anywhere in our Europe Zone for just £3 extra a day (midnight to 23:59, local time)
- Vodafone WorldTraveller lets you use your UK data allowance (up to 500MB a day) anywhere in our WorldTraveller Zone for just £5 extra a day (midnight to midnight of the capital city of the country you’re visiting when you start using data)
- Vodafone DataTraveller gives you 25MB for just £5 a day anywhere in our Rest of the World Zone (midnight to midnight, UK time)
If you don’t have any of our roaming extras, these are the standard rates you’ll pay while abroad.

Thanks Louise. So I am going to have to register for euro traveller. I feel a bit misled really. I asked about 3 times in the shop if this would cost me any more or have any limits and was told it would just work like in the UK. That means it will potentially cost another £42.
So how can I register for Euro Traveller for this?

To opt in, text ADD to 40506 (if you text us from abroad, we'll just charge you for a standard text) or call 191free from your Vodafone mobile in the UK (+447836 191 191 from abroad or any other phone, standard call rates apply).
