Can't get my Sure Signal to work now for 4 days. Customer Service advise I need a minimum upload speed of 1.5 Mbps for it to work. Why then does it say that the minimum on the Sure Signal information page is only1.0?

Hi

THe information I can find is.....

What do I need for a Vodafone Sure Signal?

To use a Vodafone Sure Signal you’ll need to:

Order a Sure Signal (one-off cost: £69)
Have a Vodafone mobile, voice-enabled tablet or dongle connected to the Vodafone network.

Have a broadband connection with a minimum upload and download speed of 1Mbps.

The more devices you connect to a Sure Signal at the same time, the faster your broadband speed will need to be. So, if a maximum of 8 devices are connected to your Sure Signal at any one time, you’ll need a broadband download speed of at least 4.13Mbps. You can check your download speeds using an online broadband speed test.

Please take a look through these Sure Signal Trouble Shooting threads :

https://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Vodafone-Sure-Signal/Vodafone-Sure-Signal-troubleshooting/td-p/23917...

as these may help to resolve issues. They have links to the key things you can do to try and self resolve the issue you are experiencing.

It may also be worth trying a different power supply with the SureSignal (Version 1 & 2 ), as there have been some reports of replacement power supplies solving the issues. Even if lights / power are showing. They are available on eBay for around £10.

From member cineriv "But firstly, have a look around for a suitable unit with a 12 Volt output @ around 1.5Amp capacity that you could 'borrow' to prove the fault. Suitable units can be found on external hard drives, monitors, printers, routers etc.etc."

Thanks for your response. I have searched high and low on the threadsand have rebooted device and router many times now. I have Sure Signal V3. Everything was fine last week until the Sure Signal unit literally blew up! The replacement has been registered with Vodafone (serial number) but no luck in connecting.
