I have 4 computers, new and old with 4 seperate Vodafone Wireless Modems both new and old.
The main problem I've found is conflicts with the newer modems AND conflicts within windows updates and windows 7 AND the newer modems being used together with W7.
Most of the error codes relate to com port conflicts and account selection within the program.
It took me three days to figure out that the 635 error was a 'change account type' setting within the program
and the 619 error is related to the control panel - phone modem listing multiple modems on mulitple ports.
Simple deletion of the multiple modems within control panel fixes the 619, 625 and the 635 error is fixed by ensuring you have selected the correct account type 'settings - change account type'
Something I noticed recently was after windows updates automatically, this created new error codes across the newer modems running on both old and new machines  this is resolved by deleting all the modems, checking the account type again and reinstalling the modem.
Installing the full version of the VC software made no difference (for me) but I know some have found it to work, but that's a big deal compared to just changing your account type  so start with the basics and go from there. A mate who works for Vodafone told me that it's hardly ever hardware, it's mostly software related to the newer modems and Window 7 conflicts.
I'm sure this all has been covered elsewhere, just thought I'd share my overall experience
Cheers
