Hi notafan,
I couldnt agree more that we shouldnt have to have landlines, but as it stands, there is no domestic broadband provider that doesn't need a feed of some description. Some use media use their fibre optic cabling (for the tv/phone); Other providers and ourselves etc use the BT feed from their local exchange.
Its easy to have an internet connection though without a landline, which is one our USB modems very popular and use them out and about as well as at home.
We currently have great deals on our Modem deals in the Online Shop for you to check out!

Hi Claire
Its just its too expensive, you can remove the cost of BT line rental per month and save money but by getting a dongle the usage is quite low and you'd have to pay alot more to get the same usuage you'd get from a home broadband provider. Meaning not having the landline would be pointless, plus you'd then have to get a dongle for every person in the house.
Think the network that figures a way to provide 'mobile internet' at home without a landline, restrictions or massive costs could make a fair bit, i'd be happy to ditch bt altogether!
