Mobile Broadband Ips

Just noticed thanks to my forum that mobile users are sharing the same IP and a lot. I have 3 different people now including me who have used this particular one and wondered what Vodafone had to say. You see this can cause all kinds of security problems as I'm sure you are aware.

Hi Deffient1337,

Like many broadband providers we are allocated a set amount of IP ranges, as these are dynamic IP’s and not a static IP it does mean that different users will use a different IP address each time they connect to the network.

Although our IP addresses are reused by different customers there are security measure put in place at network level to keep our customers privacy.

A customer’s privacy is very important to us and we wouldn’t do anything that would effect this.

Yes I know you are e allocated a set amount of IP ranges but for 3 people including me to have the same one on my forum means you must have very little to say the least

Hi Deffiant1337,

To be honest I don't have an exact figure in regards to the amount of IP's we have in our IP range or customers we have although there are a lot of each.

I have Emailed our Mobile broadband team to see if I can find this information out for you to help us both gain a deeper understanding of why this would happen.

This will take a couple of days to get a deffinative answer however, I will update you with the information as soon as I get a reply.

Another thing, though a little late is VB isn't mobile friendly. SMF adjusts to your screen and is free
