Mobile Broadband Keeps Disconnecting

I have recently bought Vodafone Mobile Broadband which installed ok and worked for a couple of days. It then crashed the PC bringing up a blue screen with various numbers and messages the main one referring to modem.sys (I have never had one of these dreaded 'blue screen' crashes before). Unfortunately I did not take a note of all the info (it would have taken a long time). I rebooted the PC and the mobile connect kept looping trying to find a signal. I unplugged the dongle, deinstalled the mobile lite software, and plugged the dongle in again. The software reinstalled ok. However the connection now does not work properly. Sometimes it does not find a network at all, other times it finds a network, works for a short while and then disconnects with an error 'mobile device not detected' and sometimes loops with this error (I think that is what it says as the message only flashes briefly). This is on a windows xp system. I have tried powering off, deinstalling the software and reinstalling a couple of times, but I am not making any progress. I will have to return the product if I have no anwer on this.

Hello Roger and welcome to the eForum, :)

I’d like to take a slightly different approach with this, or more rather install a different version of VMC. Please can you download the full VMC program from the Vodafone Business site.

Once done please restart your computer and attempt again, we'd appreciate a further update after doing so.
