Mobile Broadband Sim In Wm6.1 Phone?

Hi,

My first post in this forum, so I hope have the correct place.

I have Vodafones's 1Gb pay as you go Mobile Broadband using the E160X USB dongle - all works fine, I am very happy with it.

However I now also have a phone which is 3G capable (Acer DX900 - Windows Mobile 6.1), and would very much like to be able to occasionally access broadband through this device instead of through my laptop by placing the SIM from the dongle in my phone.

Is this feasible and/or allowed, and if so where can I find some settings to configure the phone.

Many thanks in advance,

Colin

hello, i know this thread is old but i have similar issues relating to this thread so i decided not to open a new one.

i got the HTC s740 a little while back and will be using it for a couple of days. it runs on windows 6.1 (STANDARD edition) which is different from the windows 6.1 found on touch screen devices. how do i add the vodafone internet settings on my phone? the instructions listed a couple of posts ago don't work for the s740.

thanks

Hi ss3000,

Whilst we don't stock the s740, we do have several other Windows Mobile devices that have exactly the same setup routine. I've included a link to the HTC Diamond WAP Setup page. If you follow this guide then you'll be able to access the internet.

Let me know how you get on :).
