Three network beat Vodafone to become the best Mobile Broadband network in the UK.

Strange that I wrote a post a few days ago saying I had done tests with Threee v Vodafone and Three were much better. Forum MODS disagreed with me.

Still disagree with me?

Pretty sure you have to phone up, or write. I'll certainly be switching for my whole contract to Three when my Vodafone contract runs out. I got a PAYG SIM card free with my Mifi device. Stuck it in an old 3G phone and get better reception than Vodafone.

You just have to look at the online 3G map comparisons - pretty conclusive.

It simply depends on where you live and the local demographics. I am 100 metres from a cluster of masts on a school (bless them) and have tried Three, Orange and Vodafone. Quite the opposite to the survey's findings.

Orange had the strongest signal, but maximum of 1.2mbps and disappeared at tea-time when the kids came out of school with their iPhones. Before iPhones came out with Orange it gave 1.7mbps maximum.
Three had almost no signal or bandwidth - turned out the 3G mast was not broadcasting from that location despite the web information.
Vodafone have a slightly weaker signal but 3.2mbps and it is usable at tea-time. If only VF could get the website sorted it would be top in my view.

Maybe this will explain the lack of Three broadcasting. Some very recent and interesting 'sharing' going on at the moment.

Hi all,

I run a streaming webcam from my truck as I drive around the UK and
was on voda and found it excelent for most of the England but when in
Wales and Scotland it was poor. The other problem I had was the
usage meter, it seems it would not display used data on system
updates or any yahoo video chat?

I have moved over to 3, yes is is not as fast but the coverage is much
better and the usage meter is right up to date and seems to be spot on.

Just my findings.
