I am British and moving to Spain at the end of November. I Have already bought a PAYG Spanish sim card for my mobile internet.
I have tried to ask the following questions on the Spanish Vodafone site (www.vodafone.es) but the pages keep reverting back to Spanish, which I cannot understand
Could someone PLEASE answer the following questions for me, or let me have the email of someone who can? 1. Can I use the Spanish mobile internet sim for voice calls too? 2. What settings do I need on 'mobile partner' to connect to the internet in Spain, with my sim card and internet dongle? 3. When I put the Spanish sim card in my phone, it changes all the menus on my phone into Spanish. How can I stop this and keep them in English? 4. How can I top up on the internet in Spain, as their pages are all revert back to Spanish.

First things... Congratulations!!! An end to our rainy weather.. lol
1. Can I use the Spanish mobile internet sim for voice calls too? - No, not if its like the UK version. Data Only..
2. What settings do I need on 'mobile partner' to connect to the internet in Spain, with my sim card and internet dongle? You shouldnt need any, as its a Spanish sim in Spain.. Youre NOT Roaming.. You need to change the main settings.. Might be best to get either a Spanish dongle or Spanish connection software.. Or look on the Huaway (cant remember if thats them) website for a connection program, might be better to use that than vodafones one - More flexible..
3. When I put the Spanish sim card in my phone, it changes all the menus on my phone into Spanish. How can I stop this and keep them in English? Depends on the phone, but you have your phone set to "language = Auto", set it to English instead. That will be in the menu under phone settings.. (Or Similar)
4. How can I top up on the internet in Spain, as their pages are all revert back to Spanish. Use Google to translate the pages..
5. Learn Spanish!! Lol

I just KNEW someone was going to say learn Spanish
Thanks for all your advice though, it really helps.
Looks like I will need to buy a second sim for voice calls when I get to Spain
My internet dongle is by Huawei, so hopefully it will all work when I plug my laptop in in Spain!
I did try Google translate, but I think their pages use Flash or something, as it wont translate them.
Actually been living and working in the Middle East for the last few years - 50 degrees C in the summer!!

Hi there shazbat,
Welcome to the eForum, we are a friendly bunch and we are always happy to help.
It looks like I am a little bit too late here, sorry for not getting here sooner, but there really is nothing else I can add.
If you need us for anything else please do let me know.
Thanks
Matt

Thanks Matt, just installed Google tool bar and it translates the Spanish pages
Although I still am not able to top up on line, I will have to wait till I get to Spain.
