My Vodafone mobile wifi device (Huawei R215) has suddenly gone from being really fast, to really slow. This is quite disappointing as I'm paying £9 a month for a device which now appears to be rendered useless.
Whats really confusing though - when running a speed test from my iPhone connected to the Vodafone 4g network I get 2.6mb download. When I connect to the mobile wifi device, which also reports that it's connected by 4g (and is less than a meter away) I get 0.22mb
This didn't used to be the case, and up until recently I've had much faster speeds via the mobile wifi device than without.
Does this suggest a fault with the mobile wifi device itself? According to the device I've downloaded 88Gb of data since I first got it which sounds about right. If so I was expecting to get more use out of it.
Ive contacted Vodafone and they said that they checked the network in my area and that it's working fine.
Im baffled, can anyone help me out here please? Thanks

@daveyb2017 - So we can take a closer look at the sites in your area, please let us know the below information:
1) Does the issue happen in just one location? If so, how far do you have to travel to regain service?
2) What is the full postcode (e.g. ST1 1AA) of where the issue occurs? If you don't want this showing on the Community, add it to your profile here.
